My English Year 2



I have had evaluated My English Year 2 "MYCD", Form Two based on four criteria; instructional, curriculum, cosmetic and technical aspect.

INSTRUCTIONAL
First, this cd provide a useful to all of users because have motivation, interaction and feedback, goal orientation, learner control and interactivity. For this cd, program provoke attention with the use of colour, brightness, sound, graphics and animations. Beside, this cd also provide with an activity such as game after completing activity and have good challenge to improve their skills in that games especially to learn English language. However this games just for learner; with the students herself and time without with others students and with computers but it can be confidence to all students. This help contains are helpful and sufficient. Moreover, introductions and summarizing of each units in this cd are clear and comprehensive. The objective of each units also provided to help the student to understand the topics.

CURRICULUM
Secondly, this cd provide an accuracy and fairness of content. All content fit well into the local school curriculum at the grade level. Furthermore, all information, all diagrams and other visual aids absolutely correct and well designed like big pictures and followed by supporting details. The students also can know more vocabulary because already provided it. Unfortunately, the contents are not supported by program requires learner to complete certain base tasks before they are allowed to move on. The usage of language of this in this cd appropriate for the intended age group, clear, and grammatically correct too. Besides, the cd contain age appropriate reading comprehension and provide with question. All of the activities engaging the students in active learning. The activities appealing to a wide range of abilities and interests. Those interesting activities, make the lesson encourage higher-level thinking among the students. Therefore, this cd will be used for a several years.

COSMETIC
Thirdly, this cd provide colour, text layout, use of hypertext, screen layout, graphics, animation, sound, menus and icons, interface design, instructions and games format. Actually, all of this parts have good provide because can attract all students to use it. The arrangement of the layout also uncluttered and balanced, so the students will not get confuse. Furthermore, the illustrations, tables, figure, charts, etc. were provide appropriate representation of age, ethnicity, sex, socioeconomic level, and physical and mental ability. Therefore, the illustrations, table, figures, etc. relevant and function well. Besides, the cd also suitable for the students attention by include various pictures, poem and songs. Eventhough, for interface design have not enough satisfied yet because not provide a welcome screen, offering an overwiew, basic tips and link to more in depth help.

TECHNICAL
Finally, the record keeping system and personalization haven’t good provide. Instead, this cd just provide an ease of use and speed of acces which the students can download efficiently from units.The font and the style also suitable for the Form two students.
